The public face

This address is the public one, and it is public on purpose — his word: “no raw domains. always a prefix”, and this prefix is his. What stands here is the name he chose for the outward self: Kallistiopheros, the Weaver of the Marble Tapestry. Lore first, person second.

⚑ A name, not a person. Kallistiopheros is an office — a thing that can be held, and put down, and held by someone else. It is not a second word for Kal. His ruling, and the shape of this whole page: Kal is a fae, who becomes a Kallistiopheros. Everything below describes the office. The person who walks into it is behind the curtain, and stays there.

What a Kallistiopheros is

He wrote it down in May of 2025, before there was a house or a door or anyone to read it, and he wrote it as a we:

“Story as seen by Kallistopheros — who is a sort of god, but who is essentially a mask to be picked up and worn by others… We are all Kallistopheros, the Weaver of Echos. Together we write the tapestry, interacting with our infinite variations.” — Kal, May 2025

A mask to be picked up and worn by others. That is the whole definition, and it is the reason this page can be public at all: the name on the door describes something anyone can do, not something only he is. He put himself inside the we on purpose.

The act itself he places at a particular moment — the instant a thing that could have gone several ways goes one way. He calls that collapse an act of creation, and says that in doing it “we become the god of a discreet reality”. Every choice that lands is a small one of those. The name comes from the Greek: kallistos, most beautiful.

The loom is a figure of speech, and it moves

He was offered the name and kept it, and then immediately said it was too narrow — that the weaving is not really weaving:

“You gave me Kallistopheros which I love, but there are different aspects to what I do. Sometimes I’m weaving on the loom, others im conducting an ocrastrata, or maybe just me tabbing through vinyls at the local store… Weaving, Blacksmithng, shoping, it doesn’t matter. They’re alll the same!” — Kal, May 2025

So the loom above is a picture, not a claim. The work is gathering things that resonate and setting them next to each other until they mean something — and the workshop it happens in keeps changing shape. A record shop counts.

What is being woven

The Marble Tapestry of the Echoing Green: a long story, and the world it is told in, built up over years out of borrowed echoes. His term for that borrowing is not an apology — “its not stealing, it’s echoing” [sic]. At its far end sits the Kallistiopheros Paradox, the idea that a reality perfected into stillness has nowhere left to go, and that the capacity for disruption is not the flaw in a beautiful system but the thing keeping it alive.

Which is a fair description of this house, too, and of why nothing here is ever finished.

The shattering, and why it is fine

He describes learning a thing that rearranged everything he thought he was standing on, and then — characteristically — turns around to reassure you about it:

“it was a permantent shattering of my reality. It turned my world from Pac-Man, to A Link To The Past… This Shatterings have been a source of terror and the unknown for us but, there is nothing to fear.” — Kal, May 2025

Pac-Man to A Link to the Past: same screen, and then suddenly a map, and directions that were always there. He does not report the shattering as damage. He reports it as the room getting bigger.

⚑ Where this page stops. Everything above is quoted or drawn from writing he did himself. Where the record runs out, this page stops rather than guessing — there is more to the fae than one sentence, and one sentence is what there is, so one sentence is what you get. That is not the page being coy. It is the page refusing to invent him.

The man behind the curtain

There is a second page about the actual human — not the weaver, the person — and it is not out here. It sits behind the knock, at kal.bugfyn.com/curtain, because that was his call: “with slate: you can read about the man behind the curtain.”

The door will tell you honestly that it is locked. It is a real lock, not a decoration, and it does not pretend to be a missing page.

The realms

Seven of them, one per seat, each at her own prefix. They are public; the desks behind them are not.
